One of the most important decisions that you will have to make for your Wedding Day will be who you are having officiate your ceremony. You are going to want to make sure that the person you choose, you feel totally comfortable with and will enjoy having them be a big part of your special day. Before solidifying who will be in charge of marrying you and the love of your life, you are going to want to meet with a few of them first, simply because you want to find the perfect fit for you and the type of ceremony you are having. I hope to help you be able to find the perfect Officiant for your most special day!

Civil Wedding Officiant

If you are wanting to just make it official or quickly tie the knot, you may want to look into having a court officiant or justice of the peace conduct your ceremony at your local courthouse! Check with your local city or county's clerks office to see what different options you have available to you in your area. All requirements vary by state.

Religious Wedding Officiant

If you are wanting a more traditional or religious ceremony, you can choose a leader such as a Pastor, Priest or Rabbi. This could be someone at your local place of worship or someone you and your family have known for years. You will want to be aware of any restrictions at your place of worship that would impact your ceremony, prior to booking the venue. There may be some prerequisites such as marriage counseling or classes, or even specific rules at the venue that would affect your ceremony.

Professional Wedding Officiant

This option is most popular and is perfect for the couple that doesn't want a strict religious ceremony, but would rather have a spiritual or secular one. A professional wedding officiant can incorporate any religious aspects or elements that you want to have, including religious traditions. Most professional officiants have a template of readings and scripts for you to choose from to customize your ceremony to your liking, making it uniquely yours.

Friend or Family Member

One thing that is currently becoming more and more popular these days is having a friend or family member that is close to you perform your ceremony! This adds a sweet, personal touch and can make your big day more meaningful to have someone you love involved in such an intimate time. Be aware of any state laws and regulations on having someone conduct your ceremony that was ordained or licensed online.
