Do I Really Need a Planner?

Congrats! You said yes to the love of your life and are totally ready to start planning the most magical day ever, right?! But with all the excitement of planning a wedding comes a good deal of stress and overwhelming feelings to most brides because we all ask ourselves the same question: "Where do I start?" There's the cake, the caterer, the florist, the officiant and of course the venue. "Which do I book first? What questions should I ask? What do I want and what is my budget?" These are all very important questions when trying to make sure that your dream day is just that- YOUR DREAM DAY! Your friends and family will all have tons of input and advice for you and that is wonderful. However, it doesn't make the planning process much easier. That is where your planner will come in! He or she will sit down with you, discuss your goals, your questions and concerns and is there to guide you each step of the way. They can sit with you and your significant other and build a budget customized around what areas and aspects of your wedding are most important to YOU, making sure that the vendors and venues you choose are reputable and professional, giving you peace of mind. They can help answer any questions that you have, give advice on what they think will work best for you and will basically be your partner throughout this entire whirlwind of a process. Your planner can be involved as little or as much as you want them to be. If you only want them there to ensure that your day goes smoothly, that's perfectly fine. If you want them to help you plan every detail from the moment you say "Yes!" to the time you are leaving with your new hubby or wife from your reception, freeing up your schedule so that you can spend time with those that matter most, that can be arranged as well. Your planner is ultimately there for you, making sure you are enjoying every moment of your engagement and your wedding day goes on without a hitch!
